                                            Authors note.

The only way to fail is not to try.

I think very few people will read World Without Money or Up Yours

Capitalism. And of those very few, very few—if any—will think me books

have any merit.

Which begs the question—why do I bother writing?

I guess the answer is twofold: One. There’s a difference between thinking

and knowing. Two. I get peace of mind from trying to write something that might persuade someone to become a socialist. Or persuade them its worth

checking out what the World Socialist Movement, and the World Without Money Movement have to say for themselves.

                                              Glossary.

The ultimate insanity: All out nuclear war.

Dung ball: The Earth after the ultimate insanity—life no more—Earth a  festering, putrid, pile of crap.

The owning class: Sometimes called the parasitic class; sometimes called the one percent; sometimes called the ruling or master or       capitalist class: They own big production and big    distribution. And most of the Earth’s resources. They live   in luxury and enjoy vast wealth. They do no work. They do nothing useful. They pay wages to workers to produce every commodity, distribute every commodity, sell every commodity, and provide every service. Also; owning the means to living gives them the power  to control the means to life.

Whether a member of the one percent gives a shit about  humanity (most do) they find themselves in a condition that sets them apart from humanity. Profit comes before humanity. For as long as capitalism exists—or until they see the writing on the wall—they will try to cling onto

their power, privilege, and wealth—to the detriment of  man and Earth. The parasitic class have a common interest that is diametrically opposed to that of the workers. Workers: Sometimes called the non-owning class; sometimes called wage slaves; sometimes called the ninety-nine percent; sometimes called we or us: The majority make their living by selling their labour—physical, mental, or both—for a wage. Or      they depend on a wage slave.

                                                             [2]

Some workers are unemployed. Some workers own the means of  small production and distribution, and make a living by profit to a small degree from the labour of others.

Many of the ninety-nine percent get a plumb pitiful wage; some get what they regard as a fair days pay for a fair days work; and a few (comparatively) get enough money to live affluent lives.  Whether a worker lives in dire poverty, or relative poverty—whom for a few the greatest personal suffering is time-poverty—they all   share a common interest. An interest that is diametrically opposed to  that of the owning class.  My definition of workers might be slightly wrong. But I fear we are getting closer to the ultimate insanity. And that enough people won’t  understand complex definitions in time to save themselves. My—slightly wrong—definition has this advantage: it’s simple.  And therefore enough people—workers and owning class alike—may  understand it, and take the right steps.

Socialism: Conceived in 1904 by the founding members of the Socialist Party  of Great Britain SPGB. It is a companion party of the World  Socialist Movement WSM: A world social system based upon the  common ownership and democratic control of the means and   instruments for producing and distributing wealth by and in the best interest of the human race.

Socialist: One who not only thinks socialism is the best way forward for  humankind; but also actively tries to persuade others to become  socialists. There are two socialist movements: The World Without Money  Movement WWMM, and the WSM. There are three differences between the movements. One. You can join the WWMM religious or not. But only join the WSM if you’re an atheist. Two. You only have to feel you understand the Object and Declaration of Principles well enough and be willing to   try to persuade people to become socialists to be a member of the                                                              [3]

WWMM. Whereas you will have to satisfy a member of the WSM   that you understand the socialist case well enough before you will be accepted as a member. Three. There are no political parties that are apart of the World Without Money Movement. If you believe socialism is the best way forward for humankind.  And are willing to make the case for it. But don’t want to join either movement—you can be a lone wolf socialist. So long as you feel you have a reasonable grasp of the Object  and Declaration of Principles go ahead, and to the best of your ability try to persuade people to become socialists—through songs and poems and debate and documentaries and movies or whatever   —be a socialist hero.

The people of the future: People who live in a socialist world—There will be no long term future without implementing socialism. The end of time: If socialism is established and nature in the form of a space  Rock; or mega ice-age; or mega volcano, or virus, or whatever doesn’t wipe out humankind—then roughly three billion years  from the twenty-first century the sun will have become too hot  for life on Earth.

                                                      [4]

                                             Vote Socialism.

The chances are, the majority of people under the age of fifty in the year 2019 won’t die of natural causes. The lucky ones will be close enough to a nuclear bomb when it explodes, and be vaporized. The vast majority will die from radiation poisoning, starvation or suicide within two months of the bombs being launched. And a tiny minority will live out their lives in nuclear fallout shelters—dying of radiation poisoning, starvation or suicide when their supplies run out.

The human race will establish socialism or be dead before the turn of the century. That’s my opinion.

To my way of thinking there is only one socialism. It was conceived by the founding members of the Socialist Party of Great Britain in 1904. From the beginning right up to present day they has never compromised their principles.

All around the world there are political parties claiming to be socialist. In my eyes they are socialist in name only. A vote for any of these parties—or indeed any party that is not apart of the World Socialist Movement—is a vote for capitalism.

Capitalism is a world social system whose aim isn’t to meet the needs of the human race; but is instead to make a profit for the owning class. Where a workers needs are met, it is only as a by-product of profit making.

For as long as there is capitalism the natural resources and the means of production and distribution will be largely owned and controlled by a tiny minority—to the detriment of man and Earth.

Capitalism does not work, and cannot be made to work, in the interests of the majority. It is a system driven by profit-making that can only work in the interest of the profit-takers.

About sixty percent of the countries in the world have elections. Elections give the power to the people. For one day people have the power to determin the course of their lives. This is good. For it allows for the possibility that a

                                                       [5]

majority will vote for a system of free access and equality—socialism. Democratic elections are capitalisms greatest gamble.

Thus far people have always voted for capitalism. By voting for capitalism people have voted to make their day of power, a day long. They have voted to give up their power till the next election. The representatives of the capitalist class—politicians—can stop biting their nails—celebrate if their capitalist party was elected—cry into their gin and tonics if their capitalist party wasn’t—and the status quo remains in place.

Capitalism—winning the vote—means the workers remain all but powerless, till the next election. And the owning class continue to own the means of living. And are therefore rendered the power to determine the course of the workers lives.

In the 1950s people made enough bombs to annihilate life on Earth. Every parent that has voted for capitalism since that time, has voted for the murder of their children. The fact that they weren’t killed has been pure luck.

Under capitalism the conditions/circumstances that make the ultimate insanity a very real threat, are never far away from turning threat into reality.

It might happen in 2019. It might happen next year. You can bet your last meal ticket—if the majority keep voting for capitalism—that humankind will not be lucky till the end of the century. Chances are they won’t be lucky till the middle of the century.

Someone is gonna press that button. And that will be all she wrote. Goodnight Vienna. Goodbye cruel world.

When you vote for capitalism, you vote for job insecurity. You vote for wage-slavery. You vote for poverty. You vote for the vast majority of crime. You vote for war—the little ones; the not so little ones; and the ultimate insanity. You vote for hatred—racism; sexism; xenophobia; homophobia; etc. You vote for injustice. You vote for unfairness. You vote for mental illness. You vote for pollution. You vote for sub-standard health care. You vote for sub-standard social care. You vote for sub-standard services generally. You vote for the production of sub-standard goods. You vote for governments who

                                                       [6]

will allow the manufacture and sale of bombs to a dictator. Who will use

them to kill innocent men, women and children. When you vote for capitalism—you vote for all sorts of nastiness.

Why would you do that?—why would you vote for a system that doesn’t work in your best interest?—Is it because your stupid?—Nah—Is it because you don’t relies what your voting for?—Yes.

From the day we are born we are assaulted by capitalist conditioning. You have been conditioned to except that capitalism is fundamentally normal and unchangeable.

And the ones doing the conditioning?—the politicians, the spin doctors, the schools, a childes parents, T.V broadcasters—in fact pretty much everyone.

Pretty much everyone is adding to the bullshit. Pretty much everyone propagandizes for capitalism: you propagandize for capitalism when you talk as if the solutions to the workers problems—and in some cases—(the environment for example)—humankind’s problems—can be found under capitalism.

The more people there are who dismiss the idea that capitalism itself is the cause of the workers problems—the more they accept it must be the truth.

The more people there are who dismiss (without knowing what socialism is) the idea that socialism is not only not the solution to the workers problems but would be a far worse system than capitalism—the more people believe it must be true. It puts me in mind of the king’s new clothes.

Conditioned capitalism teaches people to think that the solution to job insecurity, poverty, crime, pollution etc is to be found—can be found—within capitalism. You are bombarded by false arguments, and half-truths. False premises cunning argued. And repeated over and over and over again.

It’s no surprise you’ve been bamboozled. The surprise will be, if you can shake off your preconceived ideas—your capitalist conditioning—and vote for socialism.

You are tricked into thinking that the workers problems are the fault of the government, or and, of previous governments bad ideas and reforms. And the solution is to vote for one of the capitalist parties in opposition.

                                                        [7]

This is utterly futile. All the capitalist parties—A to Z—be them the far righter than Adolf Hitler party, or the far lefter than the Flakey the snowflake

Party—have no intention of abolishing capitalism.

Every capitalist party accepts the notion that the means to life must be owned—not by all the people—but instead by a tiny minority. And the majority must go to work, and be dependent on a wage—either directly or indirectly—for their livelihood.

Come the election, all the capitalist parties will try to persuade you that the country will be better off if their party is in government.

All the capitalist parties will tell the voters that they have the best ideas, the best policies when it comes to jobs, and health care, and education, and transport, and housing, and defense, and the environment, and everything else.

All the capitalist parties not in government will lay most of the blame for the countries problems at the door of the capitalist party that is in  government.

All the parties will claim they will tackle the underlying causes of the country’s problems.

All the parties will claim they offer the voter real change.

All the capitalist parties believe it is a natural state of affairs for there to be people with vast wealth, and people who don’t have a pot to piss in. In the same way it’s only natural that some people are better at playing the piano, or running the hundred meters.

All politicians believe that bees and people have this in common: Both need a queen (owning class) and workers.

All politicians think there must be leaders and led. And that they possess some innate quality (superior moral virtue?) that enables them to play the roll of the former—The truth is: they think the way they do, because they have abnormally large egos.

Contradictorily…all the politicians say—often with a straight face—they are the servants of the people. If they (or their) party win the vote, they will do what is in the best interest of the country.

“This is my country”.

This statement is true for workers only in terms of having a place where

                                                       [8]

they feel like they belong—they can speak the lingo; enjoy shared references;

have the same attitude towards many things; the same sense of what’s right and wrong; what’s fair or unfair, etc.

In terms of ownership a worker has no country. From a workers point of view the country of their birth is simply their nearest workplace. A place they can sell their time and labour—for a wage. The wage is only for the purpose of keeping a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, and food in their bellies. So they can perform their function; which is to keep the owning class—the parasitic class—the one percent, in the life style they have become accustomed to. Any money workers have left after providing themselves with the necessities to work, they can spend on things that give them some entertainment (or joy). Thus making their condition as wage slaves bearable—and hopefully—from the parasites and politicians point of view—nice and quiet.

In large part a politician’s function is to try to keep the uppity workers pacified. Politicians objective—the reason for their existence—is to keep the status quo. If politicians tell the truth of things, it is only true when viewed in the light of capitalism. The logic of capitalism. The logic of politician’s breaks down when the light of what is best for the workers is turned on.

Politicians have done their job as badly as bad can be, if the workers—the wage slaves—the non-owning class—the ninety-nine percent, change their thinking, and turn round and say. “Hang on a minute…We’re having the piss taken out of us…Let’s stop working for the owning class…And instead work for the common good of humanity”. And then organize and do just that.

For the parasitic class and their representatives—the puppet politicians—profit comes before the good of the majority. Profit comes before morality. Profit comes before the wellbeing of the environment. Profit comes before need. Profit comes before humanity.

The owning class and the workers have diametrically opposed interests. For that reason what is said to be democracy can only ever be false-democracy.

The politicians will probably go on conning the majority of workers into believing we’re all in it together (workers interest and owning class interest go hand in hand) till the ultimate insanity puts an end to the charred.

As to the question: What’s better for the workers—to live in a country that

                                                       [9]

has democracy (albeit false) or live in a country that’s non-democratic?—Workers are better off  living in a country that has false democracy. Aside from the fact that workers are given the chance to elect to get rid of the insane capitalist system—we’re also allowed to say whatever the fuck we want: so long as we’re not inciting people to smash things up, or physically hurt people.

I live in England. A country that ‘enjoys’ false democracy. I am free to say whatever I want—so I will. I want socialism. I want you to want socialism. If enough of us want socialism—then that’s what we will have.

The power to stop free speech is the power to control thought; is power to control ideas: That doesn’t mean people living in countries where they are allowed to speak freely are free from being manipulated and hoodwinked. As indeed they are.

Freedom of speech brings discovery of new and improved ways of living: This is true only up to a point. Improved ways of living run into a brick wall under capitalism. Capitalism throws up artificial barriers. Halting the improvement of workers lives.

The workers produce all the wealth there is in the world. To my way of thinking this dictates that the workers should enjoy real democracy.

The workers are not making the world for themselves. They need to work together—organize as one—and make the world for themselves.

The greatest improvement to the way the workers live will be if they can establish socialism.

Back in the mists of time One put a fence up around some land, and said. “Everything on or in this land, within this fence is my property”. And Ninety-nine said. “ We agree”.

They should of said. “You can do-one One”.

The ninety-nine percent need to think, good and quick, whether or not they still agree that everything within the fence is the property of the one percent.

Someone said to me. “Socialism will happen when the world is ready for it”.

I think the world is ready for socialism—they just don’t know that what it is their crying out for is socialism.

                                                     [10]

People are ready to live in a world without poverty. People are able in terms of technology and resources to live in a world without poverty. People are ready to live in a world without crime—I don’t know if that’s possible—I only know the vast majority of crime is directly and indirectly the result of poverty. People are ready to live in a world without war, and pollution, and hate. War and pollution, and most forms of hate, are the result of capitalism.

People have assumed—due to capitalist conditioning—that there is no viable alternative to capitalism. Socialism has had a real number done on it.

Politicians and the capitalist media have claimed that Socialism is what happened in Russia in 1917; what the Nazis we’re all about; and what Chairman Moe was all about.

The only connection I can see between the Russian revolution, Nazis, Moe, and socialism is: they all used the word, Socialism. And ideas that spring from socialism.

The ideas the Object and Declaration of Principles puts forward, couldn’t be more different from what is claimed. Claimed and repeated over and over and over again. Until the only social system that can save the human race is turned into a joke. “Socialism…it starts with good intentions, and ends with people eating their pets”.

Socialism has never been seen on T.V. If you have looked for socialism in the library, or down the pub, or on the internet, there was always the danger you would find something that was socialism in name only.

I joined the SPGB in 1986. I’m not a member of the party anymore. I’m now a member of the World Without Money Movement.

Up until June 2017, I’d always had a TV. From 1986 to 2017 I kept my eye out for socialism. But I never saw it. Not a single documentary. Not a single socialist on a debating program. Not a single report on anything through the eyes of a socialist.

If you live in a country that has elections—and if you vote—you have two options: Vote for capitalism or vote for socialism.

Voting for the lesser of two evils; this capitalist party or that capitalist party; amounts to one option.

It doesn’t matter if there’s ten or a hundred capitalist parties standing for

                                                      [11]

election; voting for any capitalist party is a vote for capitalism. Every country isn’t governed so much by the government as it’s governed by capitalism.

If there are no political parties that are apart of the World Socialist Movement standing for election, you can (and should) still vote for socialism.

You vote for socialism by writing across your ballet; World without money—Up yours capitalism.

You could ask. “It won’t be counted…so what’s the point?—Whilst I’m the only mother writing across his ballet: World without money—Up yours capitalism—there won’t be a point—other than it gives me peace of mind. If enough of you join me then the votes for socialism will be counted.

Most of you people need to dismiss everything you think you know about socialism. Look with an open mind at the Object and Declaration of Principles (with explanations and comments)—What do you see?

I’ll tell you some of the things I can see if enough of you can shake off your capitalist conditioning:

I see people thinking in new ways. I see the number of socialists growing rapidly in the western world. People writing songs and poems and essays and stories—for socialism. People making programs—first for the internet—and then for TV—for socialism. I see young people on the internet and on TV making the case for socialism. Explaining what it will do for their lives; and for the lives of their children’s children’s children. I see the enthusiasm and confidence of youth passionately debating with the old folks who just want everyone to go on compromising, and selling their dreams, and accepting life under capitalism. I see politicians repeating the same old tired arguments. Saying the solutions to the worlds pain can still be found under capitalism—there’s still time—The destruction of the environment (for example) can be brought under control (even though making money is the aim of the game). I see the uncomprehending looks on politician’s faces—wondering why their smoke and mirrors aren’t working anymore. I see politicians becoming a thing of the past. False democracy and the false system of government it spawned, dead and buried. I see a world enjoying real democracy; where all share in the leadership, and all bear the responsibility for it. I see a world without money. No privilege no poverty. I see the natural resources; the means of production and distribution; the means of living—there for the good

                                                      [12]

of all—shared fairly and freely by all—owned by one and all. I see crowds of smiling, determined, excited, class conscious people walking through the streets of London and New York and Paris and Berlin and Rome and hundreds of other cities, calling out the rallying cry, “World without money—Up yours capitalism”. I see workers all around the world joining the peaceful socialist revolution. Making a demand the like of which has never been made before. I see the power of the people building the world for themselves. Making a world fit for everyone to live, love, work and play on. I see the ghettos and slums and hell-holes and shit-holes, wiped from the face of the Earth. I see a world without pollution—humankind holding hands with nature, and living in harmony. I see everyone enjoying good food, clean drinking water, and cities that are communal homes. I see an equality of opportunity for one and all to reach their full potential. I see the emancipation of the workers—exploitation, slavery, wage-slavery, money, and capitalism consigned to the dustbin of history. I see YOU—laughing and dancing. You’re at a party—it’s a worldwide celebration. I see Love everyone on Earth day.

The people of the world have never tried to implement a plan that will allow the affairs of man to be put in order. If enough workers can get their heads around the new idea (new for most people) that is socialism, we will organize

in such a way that everyone enjoys free and equal access to goods and services; the common ownership and democratic control of the means of living; the emancipation of us.

We will dismantle capitalism. Governments will be no more; no more  politicians trying to win your vote. Telling you their capitalist-bullshit-party will deliver a better health service, better housing, better everything than all the other capitalist-bullshit-parties.

The best that human endeavour can produce will be universal. That’s the way socialism will work.

It’s hard to see what people would vote for under socialism—Probably not a lot.

People will share a common interest—a common aim: to meet the needs of the human race.

Countries in a capitalist sense will be no more. Workers will no longer be

                                                       [13]

forced to compete with each other for their livelihoods. Sometimes

manipulated, or and forced into fighting wars with each other; in what is said to be in the higher national interest—but is in reality, in the interest of the owning class.

There will no longer be an owning class and non-owning class. The wealth of the world will belong to one and all. The people will share the world. The world will live as one.

For one people one world—vote Socialism.

                                                    [14]

Object and Declaration of Principles (with explanations and comments).

                                                    Object.

The establishment of a world social system based upon the common ownership and democratic control of the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth by and in the best interest of the human race—To end poverty, war, and most if not all crime; to give everyone a good standard of living; to give everyone free access to goods and services; and to give everyone maximum leisure time and positive work time.

What is meant by “world social system”?

Workers produce and distribute the means to live. They plant and harvest all the food. They mine, and gather all the materials for buildings, and the things we use. They build and assemble and make all the buildings and appliances and things we use.

The workers produce all the wealth in the world. And they distribute all the wealth in the world.

They produce and distribute all the world’s wealth not to meet the needs of the human race but instead for a wage. Workers are dependent on a wage directly or indirectly to live.

This dependency—which leads to insecurity, stress, fear, mental illness, a bad back and many other unpleasant things—is because of the current world system—capitalism.

Workers—fighting as individuals, or groups, or even a majority of the populous of a given country—for improvements to working/living conditions, may win some of their battles.

Reforms under capitalism that are beneficial to workers are all ways in danger of being revered—Or new conditions may arise that turn once ‘good reforms’ into things that cause the workers harm. Also, reforms that are good for workers are only ever a sop to keep them pacified. To give them a false sense of control. To make them think that the politicians love them and are working on their behalf.

                                                     [15]

Workers—due to capitalist conditioning—blame migrants for their problems. Men blame women and women blame men for their problems.

People of one skin colour blame people of a different skin colour for their

problems.

Workers blame the government. They blame religion. They blame lack of religion. They blame their problems on people believing in the wrong god. They blame aliens. They blame Masons. They blame drugs. They blame the weak, the stupid, the lazy. Workers blame their problems on all sorts of shit.

I blame capitalism. The workers of the world can solve all their problems, win all their battles, if they identify what’s really to blame; unite, and fight the right war of ideas.

If the workers can find a way to act/work as one—plans can be drawn up and discussed on the internet and the radio and the TV—then we can organize and go ahead and establish a system that works in our best interest—A world social system.

“The means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth”.

The owning class or one percent own the oceans, the mines, the forests, the fields, the oil-wells, the power stations, the factories, the railways, the airports, the container ships—In short the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth.

The wealth of the world belongs to the one percent. In affect they own the world. In affect they own the workers.

Many workers seem indifferent to this state of affairs. I put this down to capitalist conditioning.

It will probably come to pass that enough people don’t have their conditioning reversed. And man-made pollution does irreversible damage to the Earth. Although, it’s more than likely that before that catastrophe happens an all-out nuclear war would have done for the human race. But I think “fuck it,” I can but try to point my seven billion brothers and sisters in the right direction.

                                                    [16]

                                       “Common ownership”?

Common ownership, means the human race will own the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth. It also implies the democratic control of the means and instruments for producing and

distributing wealth, for if everyone owns, then everyone must have equal right to control the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth.

Common ownership is not state ownership. State capitalism is merely the ownership by the owning class as a whole, instead of by individuals, and the government then runs the state enterprises to serve the owning class. In the self-proclaimed “socialist or communist” states the state enterprises serve those who control the party/state apparatus. The workers do not own or control. They produce/work for a privileged minority.

Workers under socialism will no longer be working for a wage. People will “do their bit” for the common good. Life will be organized in such a way that people can enjoy as much leisure time as they want.

Computer-machines (or robots) will be programmed to do as much of the mundane work as possible. All the jobs which only have a value under capitalism—till work, guarding money, advertising and many more—will cease to exist.

Common ownership by the human race, and democratic control of the means to live by the human race, will allow the human race to meet the needs of the human race. Indeed the aim of the human race will be to do what is in the best interest of the human race: The best infrastructure the world can offer. The best health care the world can offer. And so on.

A world without poverty. Without wars. With little or no crime. And no pollution—or a sustainable level of pollution, which amounts to the same thing.

                                                    [17]

                                    Declaration of Principles.

One. That the world today is constituted upon the ownership of the means of living (i.e, land, factories, railways, etc) by the one percent or owning class,

and the consequent enslavement of the workers, by whose labour alone wealth is produced.

If decisions were made based upon the needs of humanity our needs would be met in abundance—and we wouldn’t make any cowboy shit.

The ecology of the world is being devastated. We are making sub-standard

products, and providing sub-standard services—not because we want crap but because it is profitable to make and deliver cowboy shit.

Governments pass laws that maintain profits for the owning class. Sometimes one owner or one sub-group of owners loses a bit, but overall, the class of owners always benefits in the long run. By focusing on the worst excesses, and legalizing the rest, their profits are protected from demands for significant changes.

People’s standard of living have generally improved worldwide. This has lulled people into a false sense of security.

Political decisions are never made with the sole intention of improving workers lives. Decisions are only ever made in the interest of the owning class—a by-product of what’s in their best interest is sometimes an improvement in the lives of the workers.

Two. That in the world, therefore, there is an antagonism of interests, manifesting itself as a class struggle between those who possess but do not produce and those who produce but do not possess.

Capitalist parties claim they are working in the national interest. They don’t say whose national interest. They can only work in the interest of the owning class or the workers interest—they can’t do both. In fact they can only do one. Because capitalism can only be administered in the interest of the one percent, it follows that what they mean when they say they are working in the national interest is: politicians are working in the interest of the owning class.

                                                     [18]

Each of party has their own idea of how to run capitalism, often stealing their ideas of their supposed political opposites.

There is no way that capitalism can meet the need of the majority, but all capitalist parties pretend it can if only they can find the right plan. None of them have any really new ideas, only rehashed reforms that have failed in the past.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist. I don’t believe politicians are deliberately fucking the workers over. Politicians (just like workers) have been conditioned by capitalism. They believe their own bullshit—and there are none so bullshited as the bullshiters. The reason I attack politicians (instead of attacking workers who support capitalism) is because there the ones doing the most to keep the status quo, i.e, capitalism.

Religion was once a great tool with which to con the workers into believing that they were workers because it was the will of god—and therefore they should bend over and take it. And the master class were the master class because it was the will of god—and it was their right—nay, their duty—to stick it to the workers. To this day in less enlightened countries religion is still used as a tool to fuck the workers.

In the countries where a belief in god is on a par with a belief in a sugar plum fairy, politicians use other tools/ideas to bamboozle the workers.

Capitalism by its very nature is a divisive system. Workers have to compete for jobs. Once they have a job their on a merry-go-round of dependency. Lose the job and their living standards go down. Sometimes they end up in the gutter—or dead.

Capitalism leaves workers feeling insecure, and in fear, many are mental—or getting there. The system also creates a fertile breeding ground for hatred of workers by workers, by way of skin colour, sex, national origin, religion—to name but a few.

Capitalist conditioning teaches workers to identify as workers of this nationality or that. Workers of this skin colour or that. Workers of this sex or that. And so on.

Workers are presented with different options by the capitalist parties—

the trouble is all the options have this in common: none of them are in the

                                                     [19]

best interest of the workers as a whole.

Three: That this antagonism can be abolished only by the emancipation of the workers from the domination of the owning class, by the conversion into the common property of the human race of the means of production and distribution, and their democratic control by the human race.

As long as the ownership of the means of production and distribution rests with the one percent this antagonism will continue to exist. The antagonism is caused by the necessarily differing interests of the classes. No matter how nice a member of the owning class may be on a personal level, they will always have different interests than the ninety-nine percent. Therefore the only way to eliminate the antagonism is to abolish capitalism and establish a system of common ownership where the previous antagonism has no basis.

The workers of the world have tried to improve their lives as individuals or and groups—with varies outcomes.

Capitalism will always cause problems for the workers—small ones, medium ones and fuckin’ huge ones.

The workers—(almost all the brothers and sisters in the world)—the ninety-nine percent—need to work/play as a team.

The workers of the world united can beat capitalism—If the one percent would care to join us, we could be the human race united.

If a majority of workers ever see that their shared problems as workers are the result of differing class interests, the solution will become clear: Workers of the world unite.

Four: That in the order of social evolution the non-owning class is the last class to achieve its freedom.

Once upon a time, cold, smelly, bad mannered creatures lived in caves.

                                                     [20]

Then one day they learned how to make fire—and this was a big improvement.

They sat around the fire watching the flames, eating dinosaur stew, burping and farting, scratching their arses and picking their noses, and chatin’.

They shared their dreams. They shared their consciousness. And in so doing they became, homo philosophicus. Did they imagine that one day there would be a world without money movement?—maybe.

For thousands of years they lived lives that were free. Until some stupid son-of-a-bitch thought it would be a good idea to invent money. This dumbfuck invention meant that people could inherit wealth. The unfairness in the game of life was no longer just of a natural kind.

The owning class are free to enjoy maximum leisure time. Free to work as much or as little as they like. Free from job insecurity. Free to enjoy the best health care. Free from the anxiety of trying to make ends meet. Free from the worry that their children may one day face the despair that comes from intolerable hardship.

The ninety-nine percent would like to enjoy the freedoms I’ve just mentioned—and more besides. But the vast majority never will—at least not under capitalism.

To date humankind has been wondering around inside a vast and exquisite palace in the dark, holding a candle. Seeing just a fraction of the wonder within.

The darkness doesn’t hide horror. The darkness is the horror. Philosophy under capitalism produces a limited light of knowledge and understanding.

Establishing socialism will be as though the lights in the palace have been switched on. With the light socialism brings forth, will come a new and far greater knowledge and understanding.

If enough people can’t see—can’t be persuaded—that socialism is the way forward for humanity, the candle will be blown out. On the other hand, if enough of us homo philosoficus can conceive the light we can bring socialism to life.

                                                      [21]

Five: That this emancipation must be the work of the workers themselves.

Although capitalism is a common enemy which will—if its allowed to continue—be the death of the owning class and none owning class alike, it’s the workers who will suffer most in the run up to the ultimate insanity. For that reason the workers have the most to gain.

Many workers and many of the owning class are deluded in thinking that the strategy of mutually assured destruction will mean the crazy politicians never do the insanely mad.

The owning class can’t survive under capitalism. Nor can they exist under socialism. But a key difference is: under capitalism they will one day lose their power, privilege and ownership of the means of production and distribution—and lives. While under socialism they will lose their power, privilege and only own the means of production and distribution in common—and they don’t die in a nuclear holocaust.

Six: That as the machinery of government, including the armed forces of the nation, exists only to conserve the monopoly by the owning class of the wealth taken from the workers, the workers must organize consciously and politically for the conquest of the powers of government, national and local, in order that this machinery, including these forces, may be converted from an instrument of oppression into the agent of emancipation and the overthrow of privilege, aristocratic and plutocratic.

It would be foolish to expect the parasitic class to voluntarily give up its privileged position. Governments exist solely to administer the society as it exists, in the interest of the owning class, so governments will not end the privilege. Capitalism will continue as long as the workers accept it. The workers will have to force the one percent to give up its position of privilege.

Socialism will be the result of workers democratically choosing a new, classless world based upon the satisfaction of human needs. And since capitalism is a world social system, it must be replaced globally.

It is dangerous and futile to follow those who support violence by workers against the armed force of the state. Violent revolution has

                                                      [22]

sometimes meant different faces in the parasitic class, always meant dead workers, and never meant the liberation of the non-owning class. Unless workers organize consciously and politically and take control over the state machinery, including its armed forces, the state will be ensured a bloody victory.

Political democracy is the greatest tool (next to its labour-power) that the workers have at their disposal. When the majority of workers support socialism, so-called “revolutionary” war will not be required. The real revolution is for workers to stop following leaders, to start understanding why the world functions as it does and to start thinking for themselves.

Army’s exist to protect the interests of the owning class—wherever in the world those interests may be. When the world shares a common interest (the common good of humanity) the reason for the existence of army’s will cease to exist, and the army’s with them.

The police and the judiciary will remain till crime is no more. The vast majority of crime is poverty related. When poverty is no more the vast majority of crime will be no more.

I think capitalism acts in such a way on some people that they become warped—serial killers and other types of scum. In time—under socialism—people who have been warped will die out.

If under socialism there are people who from time to time become scumbags, there will remain people whose job it is to catch them, and people whose job it is to adjudicate what happens to them.

I don’t think there will be people born and raised in a socialist world who commit crimes of passion. People who aren’t scum, but decent people who lose their cool and fuck up real bad.

If under socialism there are decent people who from time to time do something terrible, there will remain a system in place to determine what their sentence is.

My gut feeling is: Socialism will create the conditions that bring out the best in the people as a whole. So not only will army’s cease to exist, but crime, and therefore the police and judiciary.

                                                       [23]

Seven: All political parties (that are not a part of the World Socialist Movement) serve the interests of the owning class. As the interests of the ninety-nine percent are diametrically opposed to the interests of the parasitic class, those seeking the workers emancipation must be hostile to every capitalist party.

Socialists are hostile not in the sense of committing violent acts against capitalist parties or their members, but to the ideas of those parties which support capitalism.

Socialists do not support the idea of reforming capitalism. There are plenty of people and organizations that do, and yet the problems remain.

Socialists are dedicated to a peaceful, democratic and immediate change. To the end that a speedy termination may be wrought to the system which deprives workers of the fruits of their labour, and that poverty may give place to comfort, privilege to equality, wage slavery/slavery to freedom, greed to just taking what we need, and a money orientated society to one of free access.

Eight: The World Without Money Movement calls on the human race to abolish capitalism, establish socialism, and let the good times roll.

People of the Twenty-first century—enjoy the revolution. And know this: if we’re successful, the people of the Twenty-first century will hold a special place in the hearts of the people of the future. Of course, if we’re not successful, people won’t exist after this century—and to hell with us.

                                                     [24]

Ideas for the Internet or TV.

Most of you have no conception of socialism. If we are to establish socialism it’s a prerequisite that enough of us can conceive of life in a socialist world.

Here are some ideas I think will help people conceive of a world without leaders—without governments. Conceive of a world of common ownership of the means of production and distribution. Conceive of a world of free access. Conceive of a system whose aim is to meet our needs; unlike the current system whose aim is to make a profit. Conceive of a world that is as good as man can make for man.

                                                    [26]

                                        The environment.

I don’t know how to save the Earth from environmental disaster. I don’t believe the planet can be saved under capitalism; whilst getting rich (or richer) is the name of the game the damage to the environment will continue; until irreversible damage is done.

If we continue with today’s insane world social system then, at some point in this century the oceans will be fucked, the land will be fucked, and the ozone layer will be fucked, and every living thing on the Earth will die—prematurely—that’s to say…before they must—The humans and many other species could live for millions of years, or even till the end of time.

I believe that under socialism we have a chance. I don’t know the ins and outs of what needs to be done; but once money/profit is taken out of the equation it will simply be a question of doing what is in the best interest of humankind.

In me first book World Without Money there is a part called A timeline of homo sapiens aka wise man. In it I put some shit about solar panels on the moon. I’d seen something on TV about the Earth getting all the energy we need by putting solar panels on the moon.

The way the large American fella explained it, made it sound like a good idea. But I’m now starting to have doubts—I kind of regret mentioning it.

I don’t know if we can put solar panels on planes. But if we can, then in our socialist world there won’t be a plane in the sky that doesn’t have solar panels on it; and if we can’t, we will scrap all the planes.

I know that cars can run on solar power; because when I had a TV I saw one. In our socialist world all cars will run on solar power

I imagine that if cars can run on solar power, then so to can trains and ships.

In a socialist world I think people would be happy to turn cities into communal homes. They would have solar panels all over them; and that would be good for the environment. And the homes that stand alone, or

                                                  [27]

together in towns and villages would also have panels on them. Factories to, will have panels on them.

I know almost bugger all about wind-turbines; other than that they give us clean energy. So we will make a shit load of them, and put them up all over the planet.

I heard on me radio that cows and sheep are polluting the atmosphere. If we have to slaughter three quarters of them—so be it. We’ll have the biggest fuckin’ barbeque the world has ever seen.

If we don’t kill ourselves in an all-out nuclear war under capitalism; we will pollute ourselves from the face of the Earth under capitalism.

Don’t put your trust in the governments of the world. It doesn’t matter if they we’re democratically elected or not. They will not do what must be done.

Do not trust any party that is not apart of the World Socialist Movement.

All my little sisters and brothers around the world who are debating and giving yourselves the day off school and saying how wonderful the Green parties are, need to know this: if humankind stay on the capitalist road long enough they will reach manmade environmental holocaust; and the road that leads us to that destination will be paved with good intentions.

Earth, the only home people have ever known (or will ever know in my opinion) belongs in law to the owning class.

The Earth is on fire. And the only way to put the fire out will mean the end of the owning class. Governments exist to keep the owning class; and whilst paradoxically the owning class can’t exist without a home, the governments will try to keep them even though by doing so the one percent (and ninety-nine percent) will all die.

Governments Green or any other colour—regardless of what they say—or even what they want (hands are tied under capitalism)—will keep the smokescreen up till the fire is raging beyond control—and the house burns down and all life is turned to ash.

                                                    [28]

Workers in China, workers in India, workers in America, workers in

Europe, workers in Africa, workers in the Middle East, and workers in the

rest of the world; I am forty-seven years old; if I live to a ripe old age—80 for example—the chances are I still won’t see the utter devastation that manmade pollution will cause if the right steps are not taken to stop it.

Today’s children of the world will see the disaster unfold. And their children will be right up shit creak.

Socialism is their only hope. And implementing socialism is in our hands. Their lives are in our hands. If we don’t implement a world social system based upon the common ownership and democratic control of the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth by and in the best interest of the human race—like what the WWMM and WSM are saying—we’re fucked.

We’re drinking in the Last Chance Salon. And even if we’re not. Even if me and everyone else who recons we are close—30 years? 50 years?

10 years?—to the edge, in terms of manmade pollution causing irreversible environmental damage, are wrong, we should still implement socialism: just for a bit of a laugh—That’s as good a reason as any other.

SUDDDENLY there was a big BANG

And the planets formed a gang

A solar system with a glorious sun

                              Shinning down just for fun

And then this planet began to cool

                              And any fool could see

Here is a place with atmosphere

A home for you and me

                              Some years went by

                              And rain began to fall

                              Puddles grew in to oceans

And in the water that which was dead, gave birth to life

And fishy things began to swim

                              Nature with her naturel powers

                              Selecting everything on a whim

                              Life adapted to the land

                              And things began to fly

Then one day there evolved man

Who walked so tall and high

He was a hungry, smelly, bad mannered creature—to begin with

But oh boy, could he reason

And it didn’t take him long

To learn how to predict a season

                                                   [32]

So it was that man began to step

                               Down the road of history

Lighting the way step by step

                                Full of laughter and tears

                                The Romans took a step

With their version of the steam engine

                                They always had clean toes

                                The Georgians took a step

                                Into an industrial revolution

One could do the job of a hundred

                                With wonderful labour saving solutions

                                The Victorians took a step

                                Wow it was electric

                                Time seemed to speed up

Life has got more and more hectic

                                 One step at a time

Taking us further down the line

We’re now one step from annihilation

And one step away from a world free from

Pollution, poverty, war, and most if not all crime

                                                      [33]

                                                    Fame

                                                    Sport

It would be interesting to see what happens to professional sport if socialism was implemented.

Let’s take football as an example. If socialism was implemented all of the players contracts would become null and void.

People who play football for no money i.e, not professionally, do so primarily because they enjoy playing. Whereas, people who get paid to play do so primarily because they get paid.

Once people stop getting paid to play, that will be the end of football as we know it—I think.

I’m not saying people will stop playing football. People will enjoy playing football till people are no more. But I reckon socialism will spell the end of big cup competitions—world cup, international cups, and even country wide club competitions.

All there’ll be is people having little competitions in local areas. For that reason there won’t be any such thing as a famous footballer.

                                                      Music

Many great songs were written (and are still written) because of adversity, or a sense of injustice, or some form of suffering.

In a socialist world people will still face the adversity of being paralysed or blinded in an accident. But manmade injustice, and manmade suffering won’t exist.

Life may sometimes take a shit on someone from a large height; but one can’t be angry with nature, because nature is never intentionally cruel; or kind for that matter; nature is always indifferent.

If John Lennon was born to a socialist world he wouldn’t have written Imagine—because the people of the world wouldn’t need to be encouraged to try to imagine a world living in peace, and living as one, and so on—because

                                                      [34]

they would already be living the dream.

Also, he wouldn’t have written Woman is the nigger of the world—because she wouldn’t be.

There are a lot of songs which wouldn’t have been written in a socialist world. I suppose, times change and songs change with them.

I can only imagine that people living in a socialist world will love music—I expect most of them will play an instrument.

I recon there’ll always be great composers, and musicians, and singer song writers. And people will go to stadiums and theaters to hear and see them perform—ergo, there will always be famous music people.

                                          Novels and movies.

I suppose people will always enjoy reading westerns, and watching cowboy movies. And the same is true of the crime genre, and war genre, and all the rest.

There’ll always be exceptional thinkers writing philosophical books, and making philosophical movies—therefore there will always be famous authors

and directors, and actors.

                                                  TV.

Capitalism seems to turn some people into right dicks. Why it effects some people that way—I don’t know.

Socialism will bring out the best in the human race. That will mean people born and raised in a socialist world won’t grow up to be dicks.

When we establish socialism—if we establish socialism—it will be impossible to make TV programs like Love Island, Big brother, and The only way is Essex. There can be no TV programs full of dicks if there are no dicks.

No one will be famous in our socialist world just because they were in the right place at the right time to be involved in a TV program that requires the participants to be annoying, deluded, thick, talentless dicks.

I may be stupid, but I’m not proud of it. I don’t revel in it. And I’m tryin’

                                                  [35]

to rectify the situation.

There will probably still be cookery programs. So some people will still achieve a level of fame cos they can make delicious cakes.

There’ll be no more politicians on TV—famous or infamous or otherwise—because there won’t be any politicians.

There’ll be no more gushing, vomit inducing sycophancy, over the latest Windsor baby—or anything else to do with royalty—because socialism will mean the end of grandiose pomposity, i.e royalty.

The last episode of the Royal Family Show will probably conclude with a speech from the monarch that goes something like this:

‘When the change from capitalism to socialism happened…people stopped

being dependent on a wage…so we could no longer pay people to wipe our royal arses…To begin with it didn’t matter…cos there were loads of people who thought we were superior beings…and so were willing to help us with the show…for nothing more than a pat on the head…But as time has rolled on…interest in the show has waned…and the whole thing has become a dreadful bore…Me and the family have had a chat…and decided the time has come to call it a day…I abdicate as of…now…None of the family wants to wear the crown…or silly hat as we call it…so that’s all folks…The shows over…Which just leaves me to say…thanks for everything…and piss off’.

                                      World without money.

                               I want no poverty

I want universal freedom and equality

                               Yes I wanna see

                               World without money

                               The money system

                               Puts profit before need

                               It pollutes the Earth

                               To satisfy a fat-cats greed

The money system needs liars to keep the status quo

                          Politicians go go go

                          We don’t need leaders

We need people who believe in each other

                          Every sister and every brother

                          I want no anarchy

                          Peaceful revolution is the key

Common ownership of the means to be

                          Yes I wanna see

                          World without money

                           I want no poverty

I want the workers fighting in unity

In the war of ideas stand up and fight

To make a loving world every babies birth right

                           Yes I wanna see

                           World without money

                           Yes I wanna see

                           World without money

                           Yes I wanna see

                                       The blame game.

When you play the blame game

                          You gotta play it right

Or you’ll end up in the wrong ring with the wrong opponent

                           Fighting the wrong fight

                           Capitalism is insane

                           That’s wherein lie’s the blame

(or the workers of the world not establishing socialism)

As the cause of the worlds pain

When enough people put the blame where the blame should be

The answer will be clear for them to see

How to end the violence, the hatred, the misery

Most of the crime, and all the wars and poverty

Don’t blame the politicians for the half-truths and lies they tell

A wrong-headed system makes them dishonest

And keeps us all on the road to hell

The system creates a fertile breeding ground for selfishness

And greed and bullies of every hue

                           Powerful countries aren’t benign

Maybe one of themes made a bastard out of you?

Nationalism is one of the biggest cons around

Misdirecting workers with a rag and anthem sound:

                           Thousands cry ‘Church and King’

                           That well deserve to swing

                           Dar dar dar de

Workers, don’t blame men, or women, or colour, or religion, or dope

                          We’re not done yet

                          There’s still hope

                                                    [38]

                        Good intentioned people unknowingly misdirect

                        From where the solutions lie

And the workers heads start spinning round and round

Till there left staring at the sky

Don’t blame the sun the moon and the stars

Or the little green men from Mars

                        Blame the capitalist system

                        For the unnecessary polluting cars

There not to blame if they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth

                       Or a donner kabab

                       The system is to blame

                       Cos it’s really quite mad

                                                  [39]

                                     Teenagers of the world.

Its capitalism to socialism, or capitalism to the death of the human race.

I think the first group of people in large numbers to understand—intellectually or intuitively—our species faces a stark choice between life and death, will be teenagers.

Maybe it will be teenagers who ‘get it’ first because they have had less capitalist conditioning than adults.

Whether teenagers (in large numbers) are the first to ‘get’ the need for socialism or not, people who believe socialism is the way forward, i.e socialists, need to use their intelligence and imagination to try to persuade people to check-out what the WSM, and WWMM, have to say—who will then hopefully join one of us.

The odds are stacked against us. Teenagers (and adults) should take part in the War of Ideas. A war that matters. Matters more than any war in the history of the world.

If those fighting to keep capitalism win, the human race will be dead before the end of the century. But, if we win, people may enjoy life on Earth for billions of years.

Teenagers, write songs, and poems, and stories, and essays for socialism. Make movies, and documentaries, and art for socialism. And then put your work on the Internet.

Disney movies have told people to follow their dreams. I think you should have two sets of dreams: dreams you dream for mankind, and personal dreams.

My dreams for the family of man are socialist dreams. Sometimes when I’m socialist dreaming I try to imagine what it would be like to be born to a socialist world: where the misery of poverty, the horror of war, the fear and terror of crime, and all the other crap, have not been known in living memory.

I like the idea of marches for socialism. Maybe I’ll be the only one who does. Then again maybe lots of people will like the idea of peacefully walking through the cities, towns and villages around the world for socialism.

                                                     [40]

The marches could take place on the second Sunday of every month. If the marches become popular they will act as a gage measuring the growth in numbers of socialists.

In the countries that have elections, the governments probably won’t order the solders/police to open fire on the peaceful unarmed citizens for marching for socialism. Whereas the rulers in countries that don’t pretend to be democratic—China for example—probably will order the solders/police to fire on the unarmed peaceful citizens for marching for socialism.

If the marches around the world get bigger and bigger; and the call (first on the Internet, and then on TV for socialism) gets louder and louder, there will come a point when the writing is on the wall: Socialism is gonna happen.

If that point is reached, and rulers continue to be a nuisance; obstructing the inevitable; ordering solders/police to massacre unarmed peaceful marchers; then when socialism is implemented the ex-rulers will be put on trial.

No doubt there’ll be found guilty; and locked up for the rest of their lives.

As for the solders/police: they will play there get-out-of-jail-free-card. “I was just following orders”.

The card will either be excepted, or there’ll be told to get fucked; and locked up for the rest of their lives.

I’ve heard some teenagers say their disgusted with adults: “For forty years people have known that manmade pollution is damaging the environment, and if radical changes to the way products are produced and distributed, and the way we live, broadly speaking, are not implemented, then by 2050 (or thereabouts) irreversible damage will be done—the planet will have got so hot that people in large numbers begin to die from a lack of water, and food; civilization goes back to barbarism, and the human race goes to hell in a handcart—and yet all adults have done to sort-things-out amounts to fuck-all”.

I understand why some teenagers think adults are taking the piss. But you kids (and indeed grown-ups) need to understand why most adults are behaving the way they are—It’s because of capitalist conditioning.

Most adults believe that capitalism isn’t perfect but it’s the best system

                                                    [41]

human wisdom can devise.

So when young people start to think about how they would like the country they live in to be; how they would like the world to be. They take on board what most adults think. And so accept the premiss that capitalism is fundamentally right, i.e, normal and unchangeable. And so wrong headed thinking is passed from one generation to the next.

Capitalist conditioning has taught most adults to dismiss socialism. Which means they are dismissing a radical alternative to capitalism without knowing what it is there dismissing.

Capitalist conditioning has meant that most adults have confused democracy with bullshit: what is said to be democracy by most people, is false democracy; or you could call it pretend democracy; or the illusion of democracy; or capitalist democracy; or bullshit democracy.

Democracy: All the people organizing in the best interest of all the people.

Leadership within a democracy is a contradiction in terms. Government within a democratic system is an oxymoron.

You can’t have a few hundred people who are apart of a political party in power—because democracy is all the people sharing power.

    All the people sharing the responsibility of organizing the Earths resources;

of organizing the means of production and distribution; of organizing the means to live, so that all the people on the planet are as healthy and happy as can be.

Bullshit democracy only has aspects of a democratic system. Elections in the countries that have bullshit democracy are democratic—for example.

Freedom of speech is an aspect of a democratic system. And whilst not all of the countries that claim to be democratic have freedom of speech, all of the countries in the Western World do have free speech.

Unfortunately the aspects of a democratic system pretty much end there. Under bullshit democracy a tiny minority own the means to life. This has allowed them to amass vast wealth—and with vast wealth comes vast power.

The power has enabled them to manipulate most adults into supporting a system that is not in their best interest.

                                                      [42]

Whilst we have bullshit democracy, food will not be produced for

people to eat; food will be produced for a profit.

Whilst we have bullshit democracy, cloths will not be produced for people to wear; cloths will be produced for a profit—And on and on. And people will go hungry, and people will be cold—And on and on.

Whilst money plays any part in life we cannot have a democratic system.

There can be no partial democracy. Either a thing is democratic or it ain’t. Either a system is democratic or it ain’t

Until we have free and equal access to the means to live we will not have democracy.

Until we have common ownership of the means of production and distribution we will not have democracy.

And until we have a world social system that sees all the people organizing in the best interest of all the people—all the people will be in grave danger.

Teenagers, the sad thing is capitalist conditioning is probably gonna get most of you.

Twenty years from now [2019] if the vast majority of the human race is still alive (as opposed to just a few living in nuclear fallout shelters) teenagers today will be in there thirty’s.

If the number of socialists is still miniscule (the WSM has about one thousand members; and as far as I know, I’m still the only member of the WWMM) then most of today’s teenagers (twenty years from now) will be talking the same complete and utter bollocks that most of today’s adults talk:

“Capitalism is the best system human wisdom can devise”—“Hitler was a socialist”—“If politicians did their job properly…and implemented the will of the people…we wouldn’t be in this mess”—“People just need to be kinder to nature…wear flowers in your hair…hug a polar-bear”—“It’s all whiteys fault”—“It’s all men’s fault”—“It’s all human natures fault…nothing can save us from ourselves”—“We just need to pray harder”—“Everything will be fine if we just nuke the Middle East”—“Everything will be fine if the Western World would just dry-up and blow away”—“Everything will be fine if people would just stop having so many babies”—“The answer to our

                                                      [43]

problems…is more capitalism”.

        And on, and on—bollocks, bollocks…bollocks.

Teenagers today who say their discussed with adults for doing nothing of any real significance to stop manmade pollution, will mostly grow-up to think just like most of today’s adults.

And the ones that do will justify your generation doing fuck-all of any real significance to stop humankinds on going march to irreversible environmental damage, by telling yourselves that the thinking you did as a teenager was immature; lacking in experience; lacking in knowledge and understanding.

And you’ll tell yourselves that the issues were far more complex, and far more complicated than your ignorant teenage minds could comprehend.

And you’ll believe whole heartedly that the solutions to man’s problems—pollution, poverty, war, etc—can only be found under capitalism.

It’s over thirty years since I left school: but I think it was William Shakespeare who said. “It’s not over till the fat lady sings”.

If your goin’ down, cos most adults just don’t ‘get it’, don’t go down without a fight.

Teenagers of the world, become an army of socialists. Fight not with guns and bombs—none of that terrorist shit.

It’s not a fight that can be won with violence. The idea that socialism would be better for the world than capitalism is not promoted by smashing things up—quite the reverse.

Don’t even try to whined up the police or soldiers by standing in front of them making the universal hand gesture for a wanker.

Don’t give them any excuse to hit you round the head with a baton or run you over with a tank.

Your weapons aren’t deadly; but your imagination and intelligence hold great power none the less.

Speak up. Stand up. Be counted. Don’t leave it up to others. You’ve got as much riding on the outcome of the war of ideas as every other fucker; unless you’ve got a space ship, and can piss-off to some other planet when we fuck this one over.

                                                 [44]

Teenagers of England, of India, of Japan, of America, of Norway, of Zaire, of Brazil, of Greenland, of Australia, of China, of Russia, of Saudi Arabia, of Germany, of Mexico, of Canada, of Iran, of Libya, of Argentina, of France, of Sweden, of the world; there is something profoundly affecting in large masses of people following the lead of those who do not believe in people.

Politicians are not on the side of the human race; there on the side of the owning class—although most of the numpty’s don’t realize it; as indeed most

of the voters don’t realize it: if they did they’d vote for socialism—or rather

they would if they knew what socialism was.

Don’t follow leaders. Don’t be sheep. One of the main reasons for the problems in the world today, is people putting their trust in leaders; instead of putting their heads together; working things out; and cooperating to their mutual benefit—No leaders required.

If you decide you want socialism, because you’ve thought about it, and decided it’s the best system human wisdom can devise—then be a socialist.

Don’t be a follower of people, because they make arguments you agree with. Be of an accord with people who make arguments you agree with, because you stand by the arguments.

If you teenagers are the first group in large numbers to ‘get it’, and form an army of socialists to fight in the War of Ideas, don’t go seeing the champions of capitalism, (the representatives of the owning class) the politicians, as your enemy.

See them instead as your opponents. And that holds for those who support capitalism, by voting for capitalist parties; as indeed it holds for the owning class.

The common enemy of everyone—if they but knew it—is capitalism.

I don’t see socialism happening country by country in a kind of domino effect.

I see a rapid growth in the two socialist movements. I see a tipping point being reached. People all around the world (who are skeptical in the extreme) finding that the like the songs; the documentaries; the essays; the art; the arguments for socialism.

They enjoy the ideas being put forward. They like the details of how the

                                                    [45]

change from capitalism to socialism will be achieved. They feel the hoodwink of capitalist conditioning disappear.

Once socialism is implemented we will mobilize to end man-made pollution. Factories (no longer owned to profit a few, but instead owned in common for the good of all) will be converted from making stupid shit (if they make stupid shit) into making solar panels/wind turbines.

Cars, plains, trains and ships will be converted to solar power (if that’s

possible).

Whatever needs to be done (I’m not an expert when it comes to the details) to stop ourselves polluting ourselves from the face of the Earth, will be done.

Today’s cities aren’t environmentally friendly: but once socialism is implemented, they will be; cos that’s the way we’ll build them.

We’ll build them as communal homes. Millions living under one roof: a roof covered in solar panels; not the bog standard ones you see on houses; but the ones on the Meer Space Station (I read somewhere that there the best solar panels so far invented).

It’s better for the environment for millions to live, i.e, eat, sleep, keep warm, keep cool, entertain, be entertained, learn, play, etc, in one big communal home, than it is for millions to live in millions of little homes.

Also, getting people and products from one part of the communal home to another, will not only be environmentally friendly, it will be safe.

You never know what you can do till you try.

All things are difficult before they are easy.

Life affords no higher pleasure than that of surmounting difficulties.

Don’t let the bastards grind you down.

                                    A man from another planet.

—One day a man from another planet appeared on TV all over the world—

Greetings. My name is Lee. I’m not from planet Earth. I’m from a planet called Bollin.

I set out on my journey across the gulf of space just over five years ago.

It was a little over one year ago that the computer on my ship indicated that there was intelligent life in the vicinity.

For the past year I have been parked a couple of thousand miles from the moon.

A year ago today—April the 14th —I hacked into your computers, and TV and radio.

I decided to learn English…because it sounds like the common language we have on Bollin.

I’ve told my computer to translate what I’m saying into subtitles for all the none English speaking countries.

On TVs in Germany subtitles are appearing in German. On TVs in China subtitles are appearing in Chinese. And so on and so forth.

As well as learning English, I have spent the last twelve months learning about life on Earth…Do you wanna see what my space ship looks like from outside?…O.K then…I’ll send out a camera drone.

—All around the world people stared at their TVs as the camera drone flew around the space ship: which looked like a beautiful multicoloured butterfly. Then Lee appeared on screen again—

The ship is called Flights of Fancy. It was built three hundred and thirty- seven million years ago. The people of Bollin don’t make cowboy shit. We make things to last.

The ship has artificial gravity. Sustainable food and water. And more forms of entertainment than you can shake a stick at.

The planet Bollin formed around five billion years ago. Humans evolved about one billion years ago. For most of our first hundred thousand years we

                                                    [49]

were hunter gatherers. And then we settled down and started farming.

After that, the road the humans of Bollin took was remarkably similar to the road traveled by the humans of Earth: from agricultural settlements to your present day.

The people of Earth are at a crossroads. A crossroads the people of Bollin were once at.

We could have had an all-out nuclear war; and turned our planet into a lifeless putrid stinking dung ball—but we chose the other road.

We abolished capitalism and established a worldwide social system based upon the common ownership and democratic control of the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth by and in the best interest of the people of Bollin.

The change from capitalism to socialism meant that the Bollin was no longer the property of the parasitic class aka the owning class aka the one percent; but instead became commonly owned by all the people of Bollin.

This meant we got rid of the reasons behind the world having nuclear bombs; the reasons behind manmade pollution; and the reasons behind poverty: And in so doing we got rid of nuclear bombs; started to live in a way that is sustainable; and made poverty a thing of the past…

Six hundred million years after socialism was established, we figured out how to travel vast distances in space very quickly.

Over the past four hundred million years, people from Bollin have gone on solo-adventures, and group adventures, to see what we could find.

We have found thousands of planets with life; and thousands of dung ball planets. But until I found you, we had not found a planet with humans on.

Since the invention of technology that has allowed us to travel very quickly in space, there have been discussions—and votes—on what to do if we discover humans on another planet.

The consensus of the people of Bollin is…if the humans have established socialism…we introduce ourselves—after all we would be like minded; so there will be no question of not sharing discoveries. Regardless of whether they have invented superfast space travel or not.

If we find humans who have not established socialism…we will monitor them. And once they have invented the nuclear bomb—we will introduce ourselves…

                                                      [50]

Flights of Fancy was built in space. It has no landing gear. And we have not invented teleportation.

I could fly down to Earth on a small craft if I wanted to; but I’m not gonna do that, cos it would mean taking the risk of bein’ taken captive—and forced to spill the beans about the technology of Bollin.

What I will do is set up a TV channel, called Bollin TV—BTV will broadcast twenty four hours a day.

A film introducing people from another planet to life on Bollin was begun soon after we invented superfast space travel. The film has continually   been added to over the last four hundred million years.

It will show you, how we play, and work, and live…How we changed from a money orientated world to one of free access; how working for the common good works; what life was like leading up to the change; the social evolution of life on Bollin; the evolution of life on Bollin—and much much more.

You will hear music from before and after socialism was established. And you will see movies, and TV programs from before and after socialism was established…

After this broadcast I’ll leave it for ten days—so you can think about what I’ve said; and what you’ve seen on BTV. Then I’ll respond to your comments and questions…

One last thing…I come in peace…so there is no need for you to be alarmed…by the fact, that the moment I appeared on your Earth TV, ETV, the launch codes for all the nuclear bombs on Earth were changed.

You should see that as a good thing; because unlike many of your so called leaders, I’m not a fuckin’ nut-job.

—For ten days the people of Earth talked about what the man from another planet had said; and talked about what they were seeing on BTV—and Lee watched ETV…And then he appeared again—

Hello again, people of Earth…My appearance, and BTV has sure got you talkin’…for ten days I’ve been watching your TV debates; and reading your posts on the Internet…

Your comments (for the most part) have been very positive…I’m gonna

                                                     [51]

read some of the questions you put to me; and try to give you an answer…I’ll read the name of the person who asked the question…their age if they gave it…and their country of origin…

Many questions you’ve asked have either been answered on BTV, or will be…O.K…First question…

—Elvis Presley singing All shook up, began to play—

I wish he was…He seemed like a really nice fella…And boy, could he sing.

David. From Romania: “Are you a nine-foot lizard cunningly disguised as a bloke in his late forties; who’s about six-foot tall; is goin’ a bit gray; and is moderately good-looking’?”—No. I’m not a nine-foot lizard. I am what I appear to be…ya dick‘ead.

Elisa. Age 9. From Venezuela: “Have you ever been to a dung ball planet?”—Yes. It was sad; spooky; and interesting—walking round the ruins. Since superfast space travel was invented, four hundred million years ago, the people of Bollin have discovered eighty-thousand planets with some form of life on them…and a hundred-thousand dung balls…

It took a while to work-out what these lifeless-putrid-stinking-piles of crap were…But we worked it out in the end…                                       Planets where humans have evolved; seem to progress socially/technologically, along the same lines…The evidence for this, has been provided by artifacts found on many of the dung balls…If people are not wiped out by a virus, or meteorite, or some other natural disaster…they will reach a crossroads…

That is the point when they invent the nuclear bomb/the means to their own annihilation…The combined knowledge and understanding of the people of Bollin…has calculated that once a planet has reached the crossroads, only about one in a million chose the right road—socialism…All the rest chose the wrong road—dung ball…

                                                        [52]

In almost every case, this happens within a hundred years of the Bomb being invented…And no planet that has reached the crossroads has lasted longer than a hundred and twenty years without turning their planet into a dung ball (apart from Bollin)…It just goes to show how difficult it is to persuade enough people of the imperativeness of socialism.

In the years just prior to the people of Bollin implementing socialism, a near perfect (or maybe perfect) set of circumstances/conditions arose in countries all around the world (people were pissed-off with capitalism) which led to an exponential growth in the number of socialists…

I don’t believe the people of Bollin—in the years leading up to them taking the right course of action…were any smarter than the people on the worlds that were turned into dung balls—I think we just got lucky.

All the people of Bollin who helped to implement socialism—most of whom only helped by voting for it—are hero’s to me…

If enough people hadn’t been persuaded to put their best foot forward, and take the next step in social evolution—the emancipation of the workers—the Bollin would have been a dung ball for nearly a billion years.

There are two socialist movements on Earth…or maybe I should say: two movements that the people of Bollin would recognize as socialist…The World Without Money Movement WWMM, and the World Socialist Movement WSM.

Until now the WWMM and the WSM only had their reasoning with which to make the case for socialism…They have been mocked and ridiculed…But now they can point to BTV and say, “There you go man…it can be done…it does work.”

I never fought in the War of Ideas on Bollin…I never fought for socialism…it was established long before I was born…I can, and I will fight for socialism for Earth…

There’s no guarantees I’ll be on the winning side in the War of Ideas…Despite BTV the majority may decide they want to stick with capitalism…If that’s the case…then just under a year today…before I say good-bye…I’ll give your leaders the launch codes back.

Beth. Age 13. From Niger: “Have you read any of our books…books from Earth; and if you have, who’s your favorite author?”—It took me just

                                                   [53]

under a month to learn to speak English fluently…I’ve read one hundred and one books written on Earth. Mainly fiction. I haven’t got a favourite author. But I do have a favourite book…it’s called The ragged trousered philanthropists. And it’s written by Robert Tressell…I’m half way through a book at the moment, written by a bloke called David Gemmell. The books called Waylander—so far it’s very good…

I’m gonna take as many of your books with me when I leave as I can. And I’m gonna leave you a shed load of books from Bollin—although I won’t be leaving any which give away technology we don’t want you to have…at least not yet.

Greta. Age 16. From Switzerland: “Socialism was established on planet Bollin nearly a billion years age. But you only invented space ships that can travel faster than shit off a shovel four hundred million years ago…Why did it take so long?”—Good question…I guess somethings are just very difficult to work out…And somethings…in my opinion…would be better off never being figured out.

The people of Bollin have never worked out how to significantly extend the human life span. The average life span on Bollin is 95.

I think it would be a bad idea for the people of Bollin (or any other planet) to figure out a way to significantly extend the human life span.

On April the 14th of next year, I’m going home. I’ll leave you technology and cures for things that have been decided…by vote…that it’s O.K for me to give you.

Vladislav. From Bulgaria: “BTV doesn’t show an amoral, narcissistic, and decadent people…but I’m wondering if your just showing us what you want us to see?”—I’m not trying to pull the wool over your eyes—unlike your politicians.

Socialism hasn’t led to people losing themselves in sex and drugs and rock and roll—amoral-narcissistic-decadence…We have a very healthy relationship with sex and drugs and rock and roll.

Socialism brings out the best in people…It gives everyone the best opportunity to fulfill their potential—and live a happy life.

Free access to the means to live; and sharing in the work; sharing in the

                                              [54]

responsibility; and playing a full part in an egalitarian planetary society…has

meant that no child of Bollin in nearly a billion years has grown up to be a scumbag or a bellend.

A baby being born right ‘now’ on Bollin…is just a second old. For him or her the fact that humans evolved on Bollin nearly a billion years ago is neither here nor there…The world will be as new to the last babies born on Bollin as the first…

Our curiosity remains strong all the days of our lives…and while we lose our childlike wonder as we get older…a sense of wonder is with us till the day we die.

I’ve heard people (on Earth) make comments to the effect that if there wasn’t a war going on somewhere, people wouldn’t appreciate peace…And also that people would have no motivation to do anything if there was free access to the means to live…And also that life must be very boring in a perfect world.

I’ll answer the comments in reverse order: Firstly, life isn’t perfect on Bollin…We have organized (and go on organizing) to the best of our ability

too make life for ourselves as best as we can make it…Its not perfect…but I’ll admit it’s pretty close.

The more you learn the less you know…There’s many reasons why living in a socialist world isn’t boring…Not least is the people of Bollin’s delight in learning.

It’s a mistake to think we must be boring because—as a people—we’re sensible.

We laugh a lot…And we make it our life’s mission to get our hands on as much happiness, joy, contentment and love as we possibly can…To give and receive pleasure in equal measure is what it’s all about—boring don’t come into it.

Secondly, to be good at something costs a person effort—playing a piano for example.

On Bollin a piano can be got for no cost (I’m not including the cost in terms of effort it takes to make a piano in this example) but a person will have to pay a price if they want to get good at playing the piano…There’s many reasons why living in a socialist world hasn’t meant the death of motivation…Not least of which is a person’s desire to be good at a thing.

                                                  [55]

Whether that’s playing a piano, making a piano, or life in the broadest sense

of the word.

Thirdly, it’s a pile of shit to suggest that there has to be a war going on somewhere on the planet for the rest of the world to appreciate peace.

There’s not been a war on Bollin for nearly a billion years. We don’t miss it. We only need to look at the photos, and film footage, and read the accounts of war to see how horrific it was for us to be glad it’s over.

I think things can be appreciated in and of themselves, without consideration of their opposite…I could be wrong…But I think happiness (for example) can be enjoyed for itself…and peace can be enjoyed for itself.

One last thought…then I’ll read another question…If aggressive aliens start a war on any part of Bollin…they will have started a war on all of Bollin.

When a tsunami, or bollinquake, or volcanic eruption leads to injury and loss of life; everyone feels for the people who’ve suffered; and will do all they can to help—I guess that’s what it means to be one people one world.

Florence. Age 23. From New Zealand: “Can you send me your sperm on the hush-hush…or if you prefer you could let the world know. And give it to me in the open—so to speak?”—I couldn’t tell whether or not you were serious…or having a giraffe. Either way your not having my sperm…ya crazy bitch.

Catherine. Age 19. From Afghanistan: “Have you listened to any of the music we have on Earth; and if so what kind did you like?”—More or less everyone on Bollin can play a musical instrument…Music is as much apart of our lives as food—or even love…I’ve only been able to listen to a small part of the music made on Earth…but I’ll be taking as much of it home with me as I can; and leaving you loads of Bollin music.

The Earth music I’ve enjoyed the most is that of the great American rock and rollers: Elvis, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, the Everly Brothers, Fats Domino, and Carl Perkins.

      Knut. Age 10. From Denmark: “Have you watched any of our movies;

                                                       [56]

and if so which one is your favorite?”—I’ve enjoyed watching over a

hundred movies made on Earth…I’ll take as many as I can with me when I go; and I’ll leave the Earth millions of movies made on Bollin.

My favorite movie made on Earth is called, Hawk the Slayer (it’s a fuckin’ classic, and I don’t care what any one ses). My favorite animated Earth movie is Walt Disney’s The Jungle Book.

Donald. Age 73. From the USA: “I am the leader of the free world…I’m gonna fuck you up, if you don’t give me back my launch codes…Are you listening to me boy?”—Fuck off, ya bellend.

I’m now gonna try to answer a general question with regard to leaders…

Bollin is a world of equals. Bollin is a world without countries. It’s been that way for nearly a billion years…One people one world has worked for us.

There are laws on Earth that say what people can and can’t do, to make sure they stay dependent on a wage. None of the capitalist parties (which is all parties except those that are apart of the WSM) will change the laws that protect the interests of the parasitic class—interests that are diametrically opposed to that of the workers aka the producing class aka the non-owning class aka the ninety-nine percent.

Each and every capitalist party claims that they can run capitalism—not only better than the other capitalist parties—but in the best interest of the majority. There all wrong. And they all have to go.

Some things under capitalism simply can’t be done. And some things simply have to continue under capitalism—manmade pollution for example.

The conditions in which manmade pollution can be stopped from doing irreversible damage to your planet cannot be realized until you establish socialism.

The propaganda machine that leaders/politicians have employed to fool the people into believing that leaders/politicians are either good or a necessary evil, has worked very well.

The non-owning class have been fooled in to identifying there interests with those of the owning class.

Fooled in to killing and dying in wars for a tiny minority whose interests are diametrically opposed to their own.

Fooled in to supporting a system which leaves them dependent on a wage.

                                                    [57]

Fooled in to voting for parties who claim to be the representatives of the

people, but who really are the representatives of the parasitic class.

The propaganda machine that leaders/politicians have employed to fool you: hasn’t fooled you all, or fooled you all, all of the time. But for the most part the masses have swallowed the leaders/politicians bullshit as though it were ambrosia.

It was the same on planet Bollin…Until one day the workers of the world united, and said, “Fuck this for a game of soldiers”…And put a stop to the nonsense.

On Bollin it was decided that some things were beyond debate. All the people of the planet having their needs met was one such thing…Another, was living in a way that was sustainable…Another thing which was beyond debate concerned the question of work. No one wanted to do a mundane job for forty hours a week, for fifty years…So where robots could do the drudge work, they were employed to do so…Now on Bollin no one does boring work for more than ten hours a week—unless they really want to.

Another thing that the majority of the people on Bollin decided was beyond debate was that the politicians had to go.

The people of the world had to implement a system that would meet the needs of everyone—so they organized a system which has that sole objective—a system of common ownership, and free access.

It meant (amongst other things) that leaders/politicians became redundant/surplus to requirements/obsolete/pointless.

Orvilie. Age 17. From Peru: “Jet packs are awesome dude…Do you like playing jet pack football; and can I have a jet pack?”—I agree…dude…jet packs are awesome…Yes I do enjoy playing jet pack football…and no you can’t have one.

The people of Earth are yet to show they have the social maturity to possess great—but potentially dangerous technology.

In a hundred years time (the blink of an eye in the life span of an Bollin/Earth type planet) the people of Bollin will visit the Earth again—barring a catastrophe for one of us…And if you have taken the right road you will be given the technology (if you haven’t invented it yet) for the jet pack; as well as superfast space travel; and a meteorite defense shield; and much

                                                [58]

much more.

Miguel. From Spain: “Are there any sex-bots on board the space ship?”—After watching ETV for the last twelve months it’s clear that a lot of people have a preoccupation with sex—Then again maybe I’ve got a false impression due to mainly watching TV broadcast in England—loved the Carry On movies; great laugh…

But to answer your question Miguel: No. There are no sex-bots…We decided long ago that even if we could make/design/program/create robots that looked as good, and could think as good or better than us, it wouldn’t be a good idea to do so.

And so we stopped trying…Robots are no more or less than useful tools—and ya wouldn’t wanna stick your dick in a tool, would ya?

Marie. Age 8. From Mongolia: “Have you got a dog…or a cat…on your ship?”—No. I haven’t got a pet…But that doesn’t mean I’m the only life on board Flights of Fancy…There are plants, and fruit trees, and grass, and vegetables, and bees and other insects.

I have on board the DNA for most of the life forms on Bollin. Plus some of the life forms we’ve found on other planets.

I also have the means to bring any of those life forms into being…In four hundred million years of space travel, nineteen ships have been lost without a trace…They may have crash landed on a Bollin/Earth type planet.

If that happens to me on the way home…and the ship is too damaged to ever fly again—but isn’t completely fucked…and if there are no humans on the planet (which there’s a very good chance there won’t be, considering you’re the first planet we’ve ever found with humans on) I will tell my computer to bring into being three boy babies, and three girl babies—that should be a laugh.

Codie. Age 5. From Borneo: “Are all the toys, and dolls, and dolls houses, and dolls cloths, and dolls hair-brush’s, and all the other dolls stuff…and like everything…like games, all really free on Balon?”—I don’t know why…but I get the feeling your really in to dolls…

Bollin is a money free world…so you wouldn’t have to pay any money for toys and games—or any other product.

                                                   [59]

But dolls (for example) cannot be produced free from labour. Many of the

factories on Bollin are fully automated. Many of the resources that nature produces can be collected/harvested by fully automated computer-machines, from the fields and mines and oceans. When it’s not possible, or not desirable for labour to be fully automated, people are happy to share freely and fairly in the work… Many things we like to assemble/make, ourselves…furniture, clothes, houses, etc…

When a little girl or boy on Bollin wants a doll, or a new accessory for a doll (a new dress for example) they will get the materials they need, and either by themselves, or with help from family or friends, they will make a doll, or make whatever it is they want for the doll—dress, house, car, or whatever: and all it will cost them is effort, or labour…

I don’t know if  I’ve explained how it is that the children of Bollin have come to enjoy free toys, and games, and dolls, very well—or not.

Keep watching BTV Codie. And keep asking questions. And in the end you’ll understand how socialism works—I hope.

Father Murphy. From Ireland: “The people of Bollin need to let the lord Jesus Christ and the holy spirit into their lives—you heathen bastards?”—You certainly look like you’ve let some spirits into your life…though I don’t recon the holy-ghost was one of them.

Some questions are probably unanswerable—or to put it another way: some answers can probably never be proved, or disproved.

Where did all the matter in the universe come from? Did it come from nothing? Has it always been? Is god the reason for all the matter?—Fuck knows…

Everyone on Bollin at the time of the change from capitalism to socialism; and every one from then to now, has been welcome to believe there’s a god…

Year on year after socialism was established, saw less and less people growing up to be religious. Until one day no one on plant Bollin believed in god any more—it doesn’t seem to have done us any harm.

Our view is: we don’t believe It, and we’re not gonna believe It, till It proves that It exists.

                                                  [60]

Theresa. Age 30. From Mozambique: “I don’t understand why you don’t

talk to us via video link?”—It’s been my intention from the get-go to talk to the people of Earth via video link. But before we had a chat, I wanted you to watch ten days of BTV—so you could have some idea of where I come from.

I would like you to set-up screens in stadiums, and theaters, and academies, and schools, and universities, and government buildings all over your world.

And I’ll talk to individuals in their own homes, or offices—if they wanna chat—and if they have video link.

I’ll pick people at random to chat to. I’ll ask you questions, and you ask me questions: and we’ll try to figure out what’s, what—how best to put yourselves on the road that doesn’t lead to dung ball.

Communication was severed with Bollin seconds after the superfast gear was engaged…It’s been five years since I talked to someone…I’m really looking forward to having a chat and a laugh with you crazy mother fuckers—you people of Earth…Lets make it next Sunday. One p.m. English time.

Jodie. Age 37. From Israel: “Take me with you when you leave. There’s no one on Earth who loves me…and no one here I love?”—Go for a walk Jodie. A nice long walk. Look around. And think. And ask yourself these questions: is the Earth worth fighting for? Are the people of Earth worth dying for?

—On April the 14th the man from another planet wished the people of Earth good luck, and said farewell…And the results of the first worldwide vote were announced: For socialism…nearly everyone. For capitalism…just a few lunatics—

                                                  [61]

                                  The four minuet warning song.

                                                 Tick-tock

                                        The doomsday clock

                                             Is nearly There

Don’t it put a hole in your underwear?

                                                Tick-tock

                                       The hand has struck

Humankind is all out of luck

                                                 Ding dong

                                         Spark up your bong

                                                War is over

Life is over for the human race?

If all out nuclear war kicks off

                                    And pisses on your chips

                                Takes your peace and tranquility

And blows them all to bits

If the four minuet warning sounds

                                    The beginning of the end

Will you wonder was I right

                                  Capitalism is the darkness

                                      Socialism is the light

                                If the ultimate insanity happens

And all around the world are dead and dying of radiation

                                 That’s the whole world, baby

                                       Every fuckin’ nation

And your kids are coughing up blood

Red tears falling from their eyes

Will you wonder was I right

                                                    [62]

                                     Capitalism is the darkness

                                         Socialism is the light

If the four minute warning sounds for real

And the Earth becomes a dung ball

It will signal we lost the War of Ideas

And the winners won fuck all

                                     If humankinds last song

Commences with a four minuet warning

The sound of a wailing siren

Then the screaming of the damned

                                        Damn us all to hell

                                     If a nuclear holocaust

Puts a stop to our dreaming

Puts a stop to the politicians scheming

Puts a stop to the world outside screaming and screaming

And dying and dying and dying

                                            And dead

Will those in the fallout shelters

Who die when the supplies runout

Think about these words I write

                               Capitalism was the darkness

                                   Socialism was the light?

If the four minuet warning sounds

And marks the beginning of the end

Will it matter you lived a wonderful life?

Will it matter that that little baby girl or boy

                                 Never really lived at all?

Will it matter that it’s not fair?

When you were one of the majority who cared?

                                                 [63]

                                         I’ve been around

                                      For nearly fifty years

                                      Most people I’ve met

                                          Seem pretty nice

Decent people are the vast majority

And the vast majority aren’t stupid

                                     And yet—paradoxically

The human race is being very stupid

They need to wake up and smell the roses

Get a grip—stop messing me about

                                Tick-tock, Tick-tock, Tick-tock

                                         In a socialist world

We’d dismantle all the nuclear bombs

Cos that’s a smart thing to do Sherlock

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

Who thinks the only solution is socialism

And the sooner the workers of the world

                                         (And everyone else?)

Organizes together to make the world

The best it can be—the merrier

                                                     Cool

                                                Details.

It would be nice if people from another world, where socialism has long since been established, came to Earth, and told us (showed us) how they done it; how they made the transition from capitalism to socialism; they got into the details—but I don’t suppose that’s gonna happen. In a way it’s a good thing that it won’t be handed to us on a plate: when a thing is a great struggle to achieve, I think it’s appreciated—when it’s achieved—more than a thing that comes easy.

We’re gonna have to try to figure it out for ourselves. The more minds that apply themselves to how socialism will work in all areas of life; and how best to implement socialism, the greater are the chances that we will do it.

What a lot of barriers there are standing in our way; be that as it may:

                                                 Housing.

If socialism is implemented, your house (or flat)—if you own one—will cease to have a monetary value.

When it comes to land, factories, railways, mines, oil-wells, etc, it seems to me the transfer of ownership from private to common will be quite straight forward. The means and instruments of production and distribution—the means to life—will simply become the property of one and all; to be used for the mutual good of all: instead of to profit a few.

I don’t know what the fair way is—when it comes to housing.

Today (2019) there are individuals who own loads of houses. They make money from renting-out their excess houses. They won’t be able to do that under socialism. So there’s no point in them having loads of houses—they can just have the one they live in.

Maybe people will have to make an ‘Occupancy Claim’ to have the right to go on living where they live. No one should be allowed more than one ‘Occupancy Claim’—that’s to say house—unless they’ve got a very good reason.

                                                     [66]

                                         Communal homes.

I don’t know how many miles of land the average city takes up: maybe fifty miles by fifty miles.

It would be nice to see designs for cities drawn from scratch. Cars in cities will have to go—there an accident waiting to happen. People and things will move around on rail—it’s safer that way.

The communal homes (that’s how I think of cities made from scratch) will include living quarters (for millions); areas where people can eat (we will share the cooking and cleaning); areas for playing games/sports/swimming; areas for teaching and learning stuff; hospital type areas; places for walking your dog—and so on.

There wouldn’t have to be a roof over the whole thing. The designs could leave open spaces for parks and out-door football pitches and race tracks and fun fair rides—and so on.

If no one—apart from me—thinks it’s a good idea to knock down the cities and start from scratch…then we can just reconfigure the existing ones.

                                                Planes.

We need to stop polluting the shit out of the planet (it’s not big and it’s not clever).

If it means that all planes not flying in some kind of emergency situation have to be grounded—so be it.

I say “so be it”, but I guess we’ll have to put it to a vote.

Maybe one day we will invent planes that are none polluting. Until then—if people vote to ground the planes—people will have to travel—near or far—by solar paneled cars and trains and boats; also by bicycle and Shanks pony.

One of the arguments that politicians and trade unions—and indeed workers—make for why the world can’t make radical changes, is because people will lose their jobs: There’s a lot wrong with this argument; not least of which is that there won’t be any jobs or planes or people if we don’t stop polluting the shit out of the planet.

Under socialism loads of jobs will be given over (gladly) to computer

machines; loads of jobs that only have a value under capitalism, will cease to exist. Under socialism we will organize in such a way that people will no longer be wage dependent. A job will no longer equal food security; housing security—and so on. Jobs will be things people do to contribute to the common good of the world.

If we establish socialism, and if we do make planes that cause very little or no pollution, then loads of people will learn to fly.

When five hundred people (for example) get on a plane; all those who have passed their flying test—and want to fly the plane—will put a bit of paper with their name on it, in a hat, at the door: and whose ever name is pulled out of the hat, fly’s the plane—job done.

                                       Things of the past.

The implementation of socialism will make the following, ‘things of the past’. Some of these things will cease to exist right away; some will take a little longer: Tax; rent; mortgages; loans; debt; banks; one-armed bandits; the lottery; the economy; financial problems; wage dependency; slavery; exploitation; commerce; trade; trade unions; national interest (which is really only what’s in the best interest of the parasitic class); national identity; borders; xenophobia; migrants; asylum seekers; refugees; governments; politicians; the state; dictators; royalty; nuclear bombs; armies; arms manufactures; burning rain forests for financial gain; destroying habitats that may hold the answer of how we cure cancer; polluting the oceans with no care for tomorrow; polluting the air we breathe for a slap on the wrist; polluting the land to profit a few, in the short term; sub-standard mass produced products; sub-standard housing; sub-standard health care; misogyny; racism; homophobia; people not given the best opportunity to fulfil their potential; people not given the best chance to live good lives, that bring happiness to the lives of many others and wickedness to none; poverty; war; most if not all crime; money.

                                                A letter.

                                Socialist Standard, May 2017.

Dear Editors.

      Am I class conscious?

One: I believe my seven billion brothers and sisters (the family of man), should all have the same natural rights, to participate in, and enjoy the full benefits of civilization.

Two: That this can only be possible when the means of life belong to, and are democratically controlled by everyone.

Three: There exists an owning class and a non-owning class; whose interests are diametrically opposed. The former take the surplus product, produced by the labour of the workers, which they sell to make a profit. The latter are given a wage by the former—which in many cases is just enough to provide them with life’s necessities for a week. Which means they have to keep on working 5 days a week, for 50 years. At which point they are to knackered to work anymore, and are given a cheap watch, a small pension, and told to piss off.

Four: Neither the government nor the opposition want to change the system; because they are doing very nicely out of it—thank you very much.

The system is the common hack, they take turns riding—Its like what the country people call “Ride and tie”, you ride a little way, and then I”.

Five: The workers of the world (in modern parlance, the 99 percent) have nothing to lose but their chains of bondage by organizing their emancipation from the owning class.

                                                      [69]

Six: The owning class, back in the mists of time, made up law; which now mean the resources of Earth; the wealth of the Earth; the means of production and distribution—in short, the Earth—is the property of one percent of man: when it should be the common property of all.

Every baby born today, and for all the days till the end of time on Earth, should have bestowed upon them the wealth of Earth—as a birth right.

Seven: Capitalism is not and never will be a fair system of society. The money system doesn’t and never will work in the best interest of mankind or even a majority. It is an insane game that has one aim: To make a profit. If played to the end, it will mean the destruction of humankind.

The only way to win—is not to play; but to instead establish a system of society based upon the common ownership and democratic control of the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth by and in the best interest of the human race.

Eight: Socialism is the only way to give all the people maximum leisure time to enjoy life; to give free access to the best standard of goods that can be produced; to remove the threat of nuclear war; to stop (and maybe reverse) the on-going damage being done to the Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, and lands on a daily basis, in the quest for profit—before it’s too late.

Nine: The revolution must be peaceful. Non-violent revolution is after all the best kind. By that I mean most likely to succeed.

                                        Reply: Yes—Editors.

                                         A matter of opinion.

Some people will like an opinion I hold, and some won’t. Some people will agree with an opinion I hold, and some won’t. Some people will be offended by an opinion I hold, and some won’t. Some people will be indifferent to an opinion I hold, and some won’t.

                                                   [70]

This statement of people is as true for me as it is for you—in my opinion.

And further: no one will like or dislike, or agree or disagree, or be offended or not offended, or indifferent or not indifferent to any ones every opinion.

So where does that leave us?—I suggest you do as the Ricky Nelson song ses, and please yourself. You can’t go pleasing everyone in everything you think do and say—so don’t try.

                                              Abortion.

Some women/girls want an abortion because they think there too poor to have a baby: there’ll be no poverty abortions under socialism.

Sometimes she wants an abortion because she doesn’t want a baby

conceived through rape: I think the number of scumbags will decrease year on year under socialism—until rape becomes a thing of the past.

Sometimes she wants an abortion because she thinks she will be left to bring up the baby alone: under socialism no one will be left isolated; the family of man will no longer be the divided, sad and bedraggled thing, it is now; but instead will be strong, and therefore lend its strength to all—to her—to them.

There are more reasons why she wants an abortion than the three I’ve just listed; but I think poverty, rape, and the feeling of isolation are the main ones.

I think she should be allowed an abortion without having to give a reason.

If socialism is implemented we can have a vote on the matter. If that happens, the first people to vote, will all have been born and raised in a capitalist world. I think the vote will be close—the first time around.

I think the vote should be repeated every ten years; till such a time as ninety-nine percent of the people of the world, are either For or Against.

Once that happens, the vote on the matter (any matter) should cease; until new knowledge or insight is brought to light.

One last thing: Most women/girls know they are pregnant before sixteen weeks have gone by. Unless there are serious health risks (or exceptions to the rule), if you don’t discover you are pregnant till after sixteen weeks have gone by, and you don’t want to have a baby—just because: I think you should

                                                     [71]

be philosophical—and have the baby.

Under socialism I imagine there’ll few if any abortions—just because.

                                                  Drugs.

Someone once said, “I can’t say whether we had more wit amongst us than usual, but I am certain we had more laughing, which answered the end just as well”.

For thousands of years people have enjoyed drugs. I can’t see that changing under socialism.

The changes I can see if socialism is implemented are these. One: It will be legal for any one over eighteen to take whatever drug they want; so long as there not doing something which common sense dictates they must be

sober for—flying a plane for example. Two: Individuals having the right to take drugs, won’t be harmful to society. Three: If an individual has a drug problem, and friends and family don’t have the expertise to help—there will be ‘drug problem experts’ whose job it is to try to get them well again.

                                                  School.

Primary school was pretty cool. Learning seemed like fun. Whether it was learning the ABC or some basic maths, or leaning the names of animals or some funny/interesting/horrible history.

I think I learned a lot through play—both in and out of the class room. Me mates and the other kids were the best teachers at school.

I struggled to learn to read. And whilst all the teachers helped me, the two people l credit the most in teaching me to read are me mum and the remedial teacher.

There was one teacher—he was a bit of a hippy—from time to time he used to like getting his guitar out, and we’d all have a sing-a-long. He taught us a couple of The Beatles songs: Maxwell’s silver hammer and Yellow submarine.

As for secondary school…what a fuckin’ joke—education, my arse.

                                                     [72]

Some of the teachers I liked, and some I thought were knob‘eads—I’m sure it cut both ways.

Me and me mates—and the other kids—would sit in the class room listening to one of the non-knob‘eads, or knob‘eads, going-on about geography or French or some other shit—and we didn’t give a flying fuck.

If under socialism the majority of parents want to keep compulsory schooling—so be it.

If on the other hand the majority decide/vote to allow kids to go voluntarily

to classes to learn stuff there interested in—then that’s the way it will be.

                                               Quotation.

“What man has done, the little triumphs of his present state, and all this         history we have told, form but the prelude to the things that man has yet to do.”

                               H G. Wells. (1866-1946).

                                               The speech.

Greetings, brothers and sisters…

                                  —Cheers from the crowd—

I’ve been told there are nearly a million of you here…And I imagine everyone in the world… with nothing better to do…is watching…Some of you are watching on big screens…Some of you are watching on laptops…on mountain tops and beaches…Some of you are watching down the pub…And most of you are watching at home…

                                  —Cheers from the crowd—

There are over fifty acts backstage…bands, standup comedians, poets, writers…and other performers…As well as scientists, and experts on all sorts of stuff…There gonna give us the very latest on how things are coming along since the implementation of socialism began, just over eighteen months ago…If this day long entertainment extravaganza is a rip-roaring success…maybe we could do it every April 14th…

                                    —Cheers from the crowd—

No one said implementing socialism was gonna be easy…but it seems to me we’re making about as good as job of it as is possible…The human race should give themselves a pat on the back for their persistence and innovation…We worked out an organized way to come up with ideas…We evaluated those ideas and decided which ones had the greatest merit…We first had to come up with a workable plan…then somehow find the expertise, courage and discipline to pull it off…Which is exactly what we’ve been doing…and doing with great style, vitality, wisdom and shit like that…

                                      —Cheers from the crowd—

It seems to me that when thing really got started a lot of you were

                                                  [75]

nervous…even fearful…But that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore…Everyone seems to have a spring in their step…and a twinkle in their eye…It’s like there’s a bubbling excitement building up pressure…When I was first told about this day long entertainment extravaganza…I was unsure about it…I thought it was too soon…But now I think it’s an ace idea…a great way to both celebrate the progress that has been made…and release the bubbling excitement into a worldwide orgy of love…

                                      —Cheers from the crowd—

I was talkin’ to an expert backstage…I can’t remember what she said she was an expert of…there was a lot of big words in it…Anyway…She said carbon emissions are now just below an exceptable level…

                                      —Cheers from the crowd—

It seems to me that if something sits still for more than five minutes it gets a solar panel slapped on it…Planes, trains, automobiles, and ships…not to mention villages, towns and cities…Speaking of cites…I was watching a documentary the other day…about the World Infrastructure project…There was lots of flicking around…from continent to continent…from country to country…You could be forgiven for thinking the Earth has been turned into a building site…All the refugee camps, and shanty towns, and slums, and ghettos, and shit holes are gone now…and the first of the new cities are in varies stages of development…It was great listening to the architects and engineers talkin’…they have relished the challenge they’ve been given…An almost free hand to make cities from scratch…There only remit is that the cities must be as environmentally friendly as possible…and must provide us with the maximum amount of joy possible, and still be practical…I was watching another documentary a couple of weeks ago about the Space Rock Defence Shield project…they’ve not got it worked out yet…but the signs are encouraging…there’ll figure it out…I hope…We don’t want a space hot rock spoiling our party…

                                     —Cheers from the crowd—

We’re making the world for ourselves now…We’re establishing a system that might last till the end of time…The aim of the system we’re creating is to meet the needs of the human race…is the good of the human race…and let’s face it…we would be nothing without the Earth…If I’m right, and we

                                                   [76]

never invent space ships that can travel faster than the speed of light…then the Earth will be the only home we ever know…Let’s care for it to the very best of our ability…

                                     —Cheers from the crowd—

I was talkin’ to a fella whose apart of the Unified Nuclear Mutually Advantageous Disarmament project….he said, there are only twenty-nine bombs left to dismantle…in a month or twos time, when there gone…the world will be a nuclear bomb free planet…so let it be forevermore…

                                    —Cheers from the crowd—

Spiderman’s uncle once said, “With great power comes great responsibility”..

For years we allowed great power to rest in the hands of a few…that was a dangerous thing to do…The common ownership of the means of production and distribution has put the wealth of the world into our hands…it has given us the democratic control of the means to life…Power to the people…

                                     —Cheers from the crowd—

Now my seven billion brothers and sisters…we are all responsible…If things are shit…there’s no politicians to blame…we’ll all have to own the shit… we’ll all have to point the finger at the person we see in the looking glass…

On the other hand…if we make life on Earth as good as we can for ourselves

…then to us goes the credit…This is the dawn of a new day…A new chapter in the story of humankind…We are the first people to live in a socialist world

…or the first people of the future…as I like to put it…We bring with us baggage…A lot of people we’re traumatized, or otherwise screwed up by capitalism…Capitalism was like a disease…It caused all sorts of nasty symptoms…The cure for the disease was to establish socialism…Whilst we’re well on our way to doing that…the effects of capitalism are still being felt…We will just have to deal with the lingering symptoms of the disease as best we can…I don’t know how many generations it will take for all the capitalist-screwed-up people to fade and die…But there will come a day…I  hope…when there are no traumatized people…no screwed up people…no stranger dangers…strangers will just be friends you’ve yet to meet…

                                      —Cheers from the crowd—

Babies being born today…have as their birthright…their first birthday present…a world social system of free and equal access to the means of living…Socialism has created a level playing field…Our brothers and sisters

                                                   [77]

in the years to come…will be fully equipped to realize their full potential…

One and all…enabled by the system that has been designed to work in the best interest of the human race…will be the best they can be…That’s the end of the speech…I’m now gonna sing a song…and I want everyone in the world to sing along…But before I start singin’…I’d just like to say…one thing……..WORLD WITHOUT MONEY                                             [Men&Boys]—Up yours capitalism—

        [Women&Girls]—World without money

[Men&Boys]—Up-yours capitalism

[Women&Girls]—World without money                                       [Men&Boys]—Up yours capitalism

       [Women&Girls]—World without money
